She's Dreaming of the Woods

IMG_6180.jpg

Taken in May 2018 at Saugatuck Dunes State Park. Tall and straight.

A very brief collage poem:

One of my wishes is that those dark trees,

(big
ger than
big
gest could even
begin to be) dream

To catch the freshened, fragrant breeze.

(Title: Emily Dickinson  Lines: 1 - Into my own - Robert Frost; 2 - what is  e.e. cummings 3 - Renescense - Edna St. Vincent Millay)

Misty Morning

Come walk with me
into the early morning mist.
See the wonder
of the silent earth
slowly lifting her veil,
revealing ethereal beauty
just for us.
Be forever
transformed.

Photos taken early on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 on the beach in Fennville, MIchigan.  We had a thunderstorm the night before and there was a heavy fog.  I couldn't help noticing its silencing effect on everything.  Even the colors were muted.

Thief

Bandit-
Sneaking under
my window; stealing seed
meant for birds. Looking at me with such
innocence.

Fennville, MI - May 8, 2018 - I was sitting at the table working when i caught motion out of the corner of my eye and then the saw the bird feeder wobbling.  This little raccoon shook the feeder and a bunch of seed fell on the ground and he just hung around and ate while i took pictures. He is fearless.
